Coach and Student Go Topless

I just have to roll my eyes at this one.

It seems that 19-year-old assistant coach Andrew Emerson (>his Myspace WARNING DO NOT CLICK ANY LINKS ON HIS PAGE, THERE ARE SCRIPTS THAT WILL SEND YOU TO PORN) had a party for students. 19-year-old freshman cheerleader coach Victoria Schattauer (her MySpace) provided some beverages of the alcoholic kind to the students- or at least one for certain. And because that wasn't stupid enough on it's own, Schattauer then decided to pose for a photo with the student (19 also- wait... now it looks as if the student was 15. ).

Both young ladies are topless, and they have some explaining to do.

The school says one of their cheerleading coaches took the nude picture at a recent party. It circulated through e-mail, and that's when the school asked police to get involved.

It's playoff night at Goshen High School, but both the football team and cheerleaders are each without assistant coaches tonight.

"They have to be the right role models, and that is exactly what we expect from our employees," Goshen Superintendent Charlene Thomas said.

Both coaches have been fired, and the student should be looking forward to some sort of discipline... although no word on what it could be yet.

Seriously, this just proves that 19 year olds shouldn't be in charge of each other.

I had sort of thought that this was the end of the story, but as it seems to be picking up interest- I figured that it wouldn't hurt to share some rather interesting information relating to how the school district is handling the incident.

Foxnews is reporting that the school district is taking a rather odd stand on the incident:

Officals say neither coach taught in the Goshen school district, and declined to say where they coached.

Way to attempt to make it sound like this has nothing to do with the district, despite the simple fact that they DID employ these two.
